500,000th member mark

  • Congrats again on the half million mark. It was only a few months ago that the 400 000th sign up was celebrated. Now looking towards the future, when do you think this site will go into 7 figures?

  • Thanks! I knew we were getting close, but I lost track of this in all the bugs!

  • Bugs, what bugs?!

    :hehe:.

  • Yes Steve, my most sincere congratulations for the Mark!

  • They'll be at least at 750'000 by then (assuming 12 months between summits).

Maybe even 1M if this site grows like it should... are you guys ready for the wikipedia??

  • Do you guys realize that there are more members than there are posts on this site?? There must be a massive amount of traffic comming from the search engines.

  • Congrats. When's the party? 🙂

  • I think every member should get a free full summit pass for next year. That would be a hell of a casino party ;).

  • Not sure what we'll do for this. I need to do something, but it's a busy weekend here at the ranch.

I'll see about doing some prizes next week and hopefully get a short writeup on the event.

  • You call Halo 3 a big week-end??

It took your 4yo son 2 days to make it. You should be able to knock that out in 8-10 hours.

    :hehe:.

  • Congrats Steve, it does only seem a short time ago that we reached 400,000. With the new site I can see the growth only going upwards.

Remi, did you do the calculation of post per member when the 400,000 mark was reached?

  • Outstanding job Steve, Warren, and Andy!!! Yeah, I know... Warren and Andy are on the "sidelines" now, but that group of 3 started this! Nicely done!

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

No, I'm just reffering to this new column that is now exposed in the forums :

I remember that there were still less posts than posters but I don't have a trend to give out.

  • Congrats for the success.
