Linked to DB2

    A coworker is trying to create a linked connection to a DB2 server and is not having any luck.

     

    Specifically, we do not know what parameters are mandatory and what some of the parameters are. I've surfed around but since I'm not a DB2 person I am not much help.

     

    What is the "catalog" Is it mandatory?

    What is the "Initial catalog"? Is it mandatory?

    Data Source?

    Package Collection?

    I'm not a DB2 person either but we do have an ODBC connection to one.  We are using an IBM DB2 version 7 driver, and the info that works for us is:  Host (we use an IP here), Port, Database Name, User ID, password.  Hope this is helpful.
