Hi
I'm having trouble deleting remote static file. Error as follows:
[FTP Task] Error: Unable to delete remote files using "FTP Connection Manager".
Path and permissions ok. No problem copying files over.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

I've tried this both with and without passive mode, it doesn't make a difference.

I have seen in other places that deleteing files from an FTP server, using the SSIS FTP Task, is apparently a problem when the server is not Windows-based. There are supposedly work-arounds using scripts, but they are all beyond me.
If this is the case I have several questions; How do I know what OS the FTP server is running?; Is there a 'proven' script for this (with sufficient comments for someone with EXTREMELY limited knowledge to modify as needed)?; Does the script work on Windows-based servers?

You are quite right. I've remember. My problem solved by deploying package to real server ftp (Windows).

I can delete the files that were on the FTP server by capturing the files using FTP task and then delete it using the File System Task. I've done it using XP Professional O.S.
