I have created a maint. plan on SQL2K5 that is updated with SP2. I get a subplan been created, i'm not sure why this is created. I don't get this created in the initial versions of SQL2k5. I knew that is a added feature on SP2... but not sure why this is for.....
Any ideas....

Do you have any delete file jobs configured in the plan other any othe tasks that get invoked check them they will create a subplan if necessary.

No I do not have any deletion on the plan. The feature of sub plan is that
when you create the maint. plan on the earlier version you need to execute on the whole (i.e taking full backup, optimization, integrtiy & cleanups etc) there is nothing to run individual tasks but these sub plans create seperate jobs which can be run individually.
