I am using mdb. Idea is to move the data to SQL Server and keep the forms and reports in access.

SQL Server Migration Assistant for Access is better than upsizing.

Once you have migrated to SQL you will need to setup an odbc to SQL and then link the tables in Access.

For an indepth look at what is required to migrate an Access database to SQL Server, download Steve Koop's presentation (with added notes) from the Adelaide Dot Net User Group's web site. Steve gave this presentation at TechEd 2006 Sydney last August. I have added the detail notes to explain the slides. http://www.adnug.com/Files/CU2_TechEd06WNotes.zip
The Microsoft Migration Wizard and SSMA only migrate the tables which is only 10% of the job
Steve has developed 2SQL to automate the migration process. 2SQL will do about 90% of the conversion cutting time and costs typically by 75%http://www.convertu2.com
