Normally, when SQL Server start, tempdb will be re-created with default size. How to change the default size?
Many thanks in advance.

Pretty sure you just set it's size in Enterprise manager:
right click on tempdb in EM and choose properties....
Click the Data File tab; my db was defaulted to 8meg; changed it to 80 meg.
stopped and started the server (because tempdb is rebuilt on every start/stop)
checked it's size: still 80 meg i defined.

Thank you so much for your input. I thought tempdb would be created always with the default size, 8 MB.
