Need to setup SQL Profiler Trace as a batch job

  • Does anyone have a documented procedure for setting up a SQL Profiler TRACE as a batch job?

(Currently, I manually setup a SQL PROFILER trace every morning - specifying DatabaseID, Events, StopTime, target trace output into a table, etc.. and would like to have this automated via as a scheduled job)

  • You can script trace from profiler...

    When you open profile...

Click on File/ScriptTrace/sql2000 and save the script on your desktop as trace file...

Open the saved trace file in QA make it a procedure and schedule it...

You may need to modify code a little before creating proc...
