I have a maintenance plan for a database creating a full db backup every night. When I go into restore the database and pull up the restore gui from database as the database I want to restore from and below that it ONLY shows the last full backup to restore from.... If I want to restore from a full backup taken say two days ago how do I select that ??? In SQL 2000 there was a drop down to select previous backups.... I do not want to use the 'point in time' option as I simply want to select a previous backup....
I realize I could use the restore from device option, navigate to the folder I have the backups in and select the specific backup.. but there has to be a better way....
I am running SQL 2005 SP1 Standard Edition 64 bit on Win 2003 SP1. I have looked and I have the same issue on my 32 bit SQL Server install as well.
Any ideas ?

The GUI is "smart" to recover the latest backup. If you really look at the option, it is smart enough to show all backup chain.
Lets say if there is a screen, how old backups should be shown there? I think there might be many issues with that (backup history etc..)
I would be happy to use T-SQL command
