I ran through the DTS Migration Wizard, and all went well. I have about 6 minutes experience with SSIS, so I don't quite "get it" yet. If I connect to SQL 2005 with "Server Type: Integration Services", I can see the migrated packages, but I don't see how to open or edit them.
If I open SQL 2005 BI Developement Studio, I can see where I would build a new SSIS package, but not how to open the migrated ones.
So .... I'm probably in the wrong place .... Is there a quick "Hey Dummy" answer to what I'm trying to do ?

What you can do is right click on the package --> Export Package --> Package Location --> File System --> Package path.
Then open the saved file from VS.
Hope this helps

i was actually had the same doubt...i understand that when we migrate i think we get the option of saving either to sql server or path ..when u save to sql server it saves in MSDB and when u save to file location it saves on the hard drive of the server...you cant open the packages in BI studio saved in MSDB...you need to export to your local drive..and the files saved in local drive can be opened...is there any way to open the packages saved in MSDB..please correct me if am wrong...waiting for reply..happy holidays..
