  • I just installed Service Pack 1, and the installer showed "success" for everything.  However, when I look at the log, there are entries such as the following:

    What does this mean?  It looks like almost everything was "not applied".  Did the install not work, or does "not applied" mean something different from what common sense would suggest?

  • First think I would ask is that how many instances you have on the server where you are trying to install SP1?

    If i understand correctly, most of components are already on build 2047 (SP1) so "not applied" makes sense. Looks to me that they are already applied.

    </log>

    You also have an Express instance for which you need to download seprate setup for SP1.

  • Hmmmm -- Well I did start to install this service pack a few days ago, but cancelled out of it when it looked like it was going to take too long.  It appears it actually did install it in spite of that -- that's kind of disturbing actually.

    I was not aware that the information in parentheses referred to the version currently installed -- thanks for letting me know.
