Hi,
I was wondering if there's a way to automate the process of generating reports from Reporting Services.
Case in point, I have quite a few reports that generate data from stored procs and it's tedious for users to go and run the reports sometimes. Is there a way to automate the process so it somehow automatically generates the reports, then either dumps them into a share or emails it out? Thanks.

users can subscribe to reports themselves, or you can use data driven subscriptions (uses a query to create a mailing list, requires ent edition).
Here's link to BOL.

Thanks for the info.
What about SQL 2005? I have a box running the Dev edition which is supposedly pretty much like Enterprise edition. Thanks.

Dev edition = Ent edition in terms of functionality but you aren't licensed to use Dev edition in a production environment.

Yeah. I guess I'll play around with the test dev box and then see if it's worth purchasing an ent license.
Thanks for the information.

you might find SQL Extress or standard will do most of what you want... ent will be alot more expensive.
