Modifying Querry while using Query Designer

    When I am using a generic query designer, can i just modify query by going into the SQL pane (3rd pane on the page), or do I have to get specific tables and/or views in order for that modification to be correct.

    I think you are talking about Query Deisgner, not GENERIC Query Designer, anyways, you can just modify you query in any of the pane and other panes will automatically reflects the changes.

    Generic Query Designer is like Query Analyzer, whereas, Query Designer is like Query Builder in Enterprise Manager.
