I am getting the following message in the Windows Event Viewer:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( SQL Server ODBC driver support error ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Unable to load SQL Server ODBC driver resource DLL. The application cannot continue.
But I do not see any reference to this message in the The SQL Server Log.
WHERE CAN I START SEARCHING FOR A PROBLEM?
Thanks.

folowing some of the links there that have answers says that your MDAC is out of date and that you may be missing a .rll file.

I checked the version of msado15.dll on the server and it is 2.82.1830.0 so I believe it is the latest version.

The MDAC of your client needs to be updated if its Win 9X-2000 connecting to SQL 2005

Thanks for your input.
We have Oracle ODBC client tools to LINK an Oracle Server and query it via Query Analyzer.
The set up has been working fine until last week when we also started observing this error message. I shall post any finding.
Thanks.
