I created a cube in Analysis Services.
It contained a dimension "Agenti" and a user must see only a member of this dimension. The user isn't an OLAP Administrator, but is a member of Domain Admins. I created a role in Manage Roles of Analysis Services and I authorized him to see only the member with his name. But he logon and see all the cube (there are the .htm pages with pivot table) Why?
It isn't the first time I do this, on this server doesn't function properly (windows small business server, sql server 2000)
Thanks
Anto

By default, local administrators group are included as Olap Administrators. You can exclude Domain Admins from local administrators or, if you have SP4, you can modify the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OLAP Server\CurrentVersion\ExcludeMachineAdminFromOLAPAdmin
and set the value to 1 to exlude local admins from Olap Admins.

I installed SP4 (Sql Server and AnServ - 2039) but I don't have the key ExcludeMachineAdminFromOLAPAdmin. How is it possible?

ok I did it...
But in this case I am not authorized to see anything. When I tried to open the Pivot Table, the error occurs "Database doesn't exist", because the user can not connect to Analysis Services.

Check if you are added to the Olap Administrators group.
