I have just noticed that my local administrator on my server is no longer a member of the sysadmin role in SQL 2000 enterprise manager the sql sa login is the only one that is a member anymore. Does anyone have any idea of what could have caused this to happen? The only thing that has been done on SQL is it was upgraded to Service Pack 4 recently. I appreciate anyones feedback.
Thanks,
Clarke

Did you check what all has changed with SP4? It comes with a file (txt or htm) with all the changes.
I can imagine that because of security reasons this has been changed. There is no need to let the local admin has sa rights in de database server.

I installed SP4 on 3 or 4 servers with no change in the sysadmin role.

We did the same as ccc24 with no changes. Did someone remove BUILTIN\Administrators, maybe?
