Hi
I have a cluster which has a allocation of 4 gigs of memory on the box ( First node)
Operating system windows 2000
SQL 2000 enterprise edition
There cluster software is veritas
The memory allocation is dynamically min 320 - max 3260 SQL only sees 3840
IN task manager i see that the memory usage is about 1.7 Gigs
In perfmon it is almost the same
I have enabled the AWE in SQL to see if it will increase
MY database is highly intensive with stored procedures , i am getting high buffer cache and memory cache
I have recomplied the stored procedures
I would like to know if the AWE setting will work on the requried specification? Will i See more memory allocated to SQL ?

Enable the /3GB switch in boot.ini

If the option AWE is enabled . Do you still need to enable it in the boot.ini file
