Hi,
I have a report with a textbox initialized with the euro symbole (€). If I export to PDF format, Acrobat Reader 5.X doesn't display the right caracter. Acrobat Reader 6.x is OK.
Reporting Services is certified since Acrobat Reader 4.x. and the SP1 doesn't repair this bug.
An Idea ?

Sounds like a bug in Adobe 5 not SQL. If the same PDF shows correct/incorrect in the different versions of Adobe then there is where the problem is???
Good Hunting!

In fact, if I watch the same PDF file with Acrobat Reader 6.x, it's ok. With the Open Source Poject iTextSharp, I can create a PDF file with euro caracter witch Acrobat Reader 5.x can display correctly. iTextSharp encode euro caracter with the decimal code 172 (AC Hex), then Reporting Services use the decimal code 128 (80 Hex). The problem is although for other caracters. SQL Reporting Services is normaly compatible with Acrobat Reader 4.x.
