Failed to load expression host assembly. Details: Security error. (rsProcessingError)

  • Yello, I'm getting an error when generating a report that doesn't appear to be listed in the documentation, so I wondered if someone here could give me a few pointers.

I'm having a tinker with using external assemblies within the report, and running a preview of the report within Visual Studio works a treat, i.e. running it against localhost.  However if I attempt to look at the report via the browser, or deploy to another server and browse from there, I always get this message:

Failed to load expression host assembly. Details: Security error. (rsProcessingError) Get Online Help

I'm certain that the assemblies are available to report services, they're sitting in the gac with the .net trust set to full, and any dependencies are also in place.  So I'm a tad confused, anyone who can help will receive much virtual loving.

    Thanks.
    Martin.

  • I would indeed appreciate any help, I still have the problem.

  • Did you ever figure this one out?  I am having the same problem.  After rebuilding with the most recent version of our program (which works for my coworkers) when I try to view any of the reports I get...

Failed to load expression host assembly. Details: ? (rsProcessingError) Get Online Help

I have restarted Reporting Serves and replaced the new .dll in the Report Designer folder.  I can't imagine what to do next?

    Thanks,

    Janey
