I have my SQLServer 2000 installed on my server and the password is set to 'a' , The issue I am unable to understand is every two days it is changing its password and I had to reset it back to 'a', Does anyone have any idea of how it may be happening, only an application running on my system is used by the other users.

You don't mention if it is the SA password or the service account password.
Check for the possibility of a virus, or any running jobs that you may have.

Yeah it is for SA passsword, Well I am wondering what virus can change the Database Server Password, some light on this would be very helpful.
Thanks

As a matter of fact I donot have any jobs running on my server. It is a fresh install and it only has a single database running on it.

Well I believe I posted this thread at a wrong place, at the same time I do won't open a duplicate of this thread in some other forum, so can someone help me out in posting or transferring it to a different head. I believe it should have been appropriate under SQLServer - Administration.
Thanks
