I clicked on the link in my email that said "Answer This Question" and was immediately taken to a page that said I'd gotten the question wrong (without having been allowed to answer in the first place). Did this happen to others? Or does anybody have some idea of what might have gone wrong? I hope I didn't do anything to offend one of the Mighty Site Admins, because if this is their revenge, it's really going to take the fun out of QOD for me. :o)

A similar thng happened to me (on the indexed view question).
But, unlike you, I have no complaints.... for me, it said I'd gotten it right.

Ah, you must be living right... I wonder why it's happening only to a few people (apparently). That's the same question (indexed views) that I got sniped by, for what it's worth.

You know, I wonder if the question might have been a repeat, and maybe I missed it the first time around. I haven't missed many questions (only 4, I think) and in the back of my mind, I kind of remember kicking myself when QOD was young, having read "3-part-name" and thought "2-part-name." Or something like that. Maybe. Plus, I'm not sure that the number of wrong questions listed on my scorecard actually changed! At any rate, I was able to answer today's question (the one about social security numbers) just fine. Certainly my percentage (which I'd been tracking, as I was approaching a personal goal ... hey, you've got to have fun somehow!) did not go down - at least not as much as it should have if I had really missed a new question. So there's my conspiracy theory for the day - the question had appeared before, and the system remembered my incorrect answer to it.
Mighty site admins, any chance this is correct?

I was sniped as well. I got it wrong!

This happened to me this morning, I believe on the same question. The page did indicate that I had previously answered the question, and I do recognize the question as one I've seen before.
However, as the system is supposed to allow questions to be asked again (or I assume so, otherwise the admonition to understand the answer in case you see the question again is bogus), I suspect that something went wrong with this question (perhaps an underlying ID number was repeated when it shouldn't have been, on some such).

The same thing happened to me, that is, it said I got it wrong without ever having a chance to answer. I sent a message from the Contact Us page, but haven't heard anything back. Anyone heard anything back from an admin (or other with the site)?

Nope. Maybe they'll chime in, but who knows? They're busy, too, but they do post a lot of replies in this forum.
