Differet server machine backup

    I have another machine sqlserver registered on my machine,how can i take the backup(Maintenance plan) for the database on my local machine ,bcz it does not show the drive ol local machine,it shows only where the sql server resides.

    The backup is created on the server, so it sees those drives. If you need the file, backup to the server and copy the file to your machine. If you want it to run to a remote drive, use a UNC path, but this is not recommended because the process isn't tolerant of network delays. Any significant delay will cause the backup to fail.
