Any data loss when transaction log backup failed

  Hi All,

  I have an hourly transaction log backup job running. However, I lost a transaction log backup due to "Operating system error = 53(The network path was not found)" error. My question is if I have lost any data due to this backup failure. Or I can safely say, this was just a backup failure, the next backup picked up everything and no data was lost.

  You are right, Next log backup will pick up data from transaction log file since last successful backup and back it up.
