I was just wondering how often people schedule test restores.
Daily (overkill), weekly, fortnightly, monthly, never(?!?!!)
cheers

In my case: Only once, just after installation.
I just assume that checking the backup logs should be sufficient.
Should I be ashamed now?
But every few months I get a request for a copy of the production databases and that is a kind of test restore.

Guess this depends on your environment.
One of our customers schedules a big Disaster Recovery test each year. Takes backups (of the complete system), goes to the backup Data Center and re-installs the server on completely empty hardware.
We (at our offices) only do a complete restore after installation. There is the occasional restore on the development machine as an additional test.

We recommend at least once a year and whenever any component of the backup process changes.
