Hi has anyone experienced this problem
I have been using the DB2 connect driver to
extract tables from DB2 mvs 390 to SQL server
2000. This process works fine, however if I try to create a new package, and use the tranform function, or modify an existing package, for the tranform function, I get an mmc error, which throws me completely out of
enterprise manager.
I have found alternatives, one is using the import wizard, and creating new each time,
or by launching the package, and using the diconnect edit, to modify the properties,
for the task option.
I need to use the transformation, since
I have filters in the query to bring over
only certain dates.

Not sure if this is related to your issue or not but there was a hotfix from Microsoft (available by request only) that fixed an issue on SqlServer FP3 where when you went to open the transform of a DTS job, it would close the session completely. The resolution is basically installing a new version of the dtsui.dll. See the following link:
