This follows on my topic of yesterday regarding the global variables not being set correctly...when I tried to open this DTS package from my client machine this morning via EM, I received an Invalid Class String error followed by a Package can not be opened message. However, when I tried to open the package directly on the server using EM, it opens just fine. I am wondering if I have a corrupted DLL or something on my client machine or if I need to re-register a DLL or file? Anyone ever come across this Invalid Class String error message when trying to open a DTS package before?
Thank you,

Have you already re register the DLL. Maybe you have and old version in the client machine

I haven't yet re-registered anything on the client...everything worked fine up to the time I left the office yesterday evening. This morning when I came in and tried to open the package in question from the client is when I received the error which seems strange to me.
Thank you,

Do you know if there is any chance that anyone changed the DLL on the client, or the DTS package on the Server?

I have no reason any changes were made either to the package itself or on the client. This is a package that I had problems with two global variables being set correctly - this morning I dropped those variables and recreated them. Clearly, something has gone awry somewhere along the line but I am not sure where to start looking. By the way, I am running SP3 on SQL Server 2000...
