I would like to get your expert opinion on the case-sensitive and case-insensitive installations.
For example, Oracle installations are always case-sensitive in general (may be with some specifics).
Which one should be recommended?
What are the advantages and disadvantages?

I see no advantage to setting something to case sensitive. At times it may make sense for a column or two, but hardly ever would you want TSQL in a stored proc to be case sensitive. You'll find some info in my article from last year, along with the associated discussion:

I am sorry this should have gone under "General" topic and I hope you don't mind.
Thanks,
