    Can we restore a SQL 2000 Standard Edition database backup onto SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition??

    Hi Lynn,

    Can i know the reason behind that? As per my knowledge a higher edition is not compatible with lower compatible edition. Example , we cannot restore a Enterprise Edition backup on Standard Edition.

    Pl correct me if am wrong!

    The Developer Edition is the same as the Enterprise Edition, just has a restrictive licensing that prohibits its use in a production environment.
