hi all,
I have Sql server 2000 on Windows 2000.
Recently i faced this error our database tables are getting locked automatically in interaval of 4-5hrs.
And in current activity log i saw this error
Using 'xpstar.dll' version '2000.80.760' to execute extended stored procedure 'xp_instance_regread'.
Wat does this error imply? and why tables are getting lock and unable to release?
Thanks,
Neerav

swear i answered this one about 10 minutes ago.
it is not an error, just an informational, just telling you that it called a extended stored procedure to read some values from the registry.
Check the rest of the sql log, for the times that you had problems and see if you can find anything else.
