SQL 2005 SERVER GENERATES HUGE BROADCAST

    HI, SQL 2005 DATABSE(SP4) SERVER IS GENERATING HUGE BROADCAST & OUR ROUTERS WERE GETTING HANGED.

    The db server is used for online trading application.

    What could be the possible reason for db server to generate broadcast in network :

    Bad coding, improper patches, slammer virus(but sp4 is available)

    So what could be the sql 2005 vulnerability ?

    Please guide on above.

    First thing, please double check your version. SQL Server 2000 is up to service Pack 4, SQL Server 2005 is only at Service Pack 2.

    Please run SELECT @@Version and post the results.
