Applying the Initial Snapshot

  • People i need help...

I'm using transactional snapshot, but i never succed because when it's applying the initial snapshot, at some point i get the rror message:

The process could not bulk copy into table '"PINGO_DLGLOG_FLOAT"'.

    Error Details:

General network error. Check your network documentation.

(Source: 192.168.193.52 (Data source); Error number: 11)

What is the problem?? the DB has 700 MB.

How can i resolve? I heard "you can apply the snapshot manually.

    "????

    Please help because its urgent

    My job dependes on this

    Thanks

  • What is the structure of the table? And how many records do you have in the table? And is this the first time you set up replication or it was working fine prior and it suddenly stopped with this error?

  • Ok

I'm already trying to apply the initial sanpshot manually.

    But i get error because:

Could not find stored procedure 'sp_MSupd_TABLE'.

Could not find stored procedure 'sp_MSins_TABLE'.

Could not find stored procedure 'sp_MSdel_TABLE'.

How can i resolve this problem?

    Thanks

  • you didnt answer my questions.

you can generate those stored procs using sp_scriptpublicationcustomprocs @publicationname. This will generate the insert/update/delete stored procs for all articles in the publication. You could use only those for TABLE. compile the stored procs on the subscriber.

  • I think sooooo...

The problem is that i insist in doing transactional replication, but i can i prove it if i can not do the initial snapshot?!?

What it intrigues me is that my DB is not big that justifies that behavior!!

In foruns when i heard similar problem the DB's have GBytes!!

So i don't understand why i'm having so many problems :~

    Thanks

    Claudia
