Nagging question about RESTORE Command

  When I see a command such as this in profiler I understand what it's doing I just have one question:

  RESTORE DATABASE [restore3] FROM DISK = N'C:\Program Files\Microsoft

  What does the 'N' do? I've tried to find it. I've searched and searched. It's driving me crazy. Thank you very much to anyone who enlightens me.

  I'm sure this is common knowledge to many others here.
