Hi,
Can you please tell me any reason to seperate SQL server binaries from OS files? In what way we benefit out of this? When should we consider this kind of a setup

I can't think of any reason to separate them. The SQL Server binaries are installed on the C: drive of all our servers along with the OS files. The databases, indexes logs and backups are all stored separately but I've not seen a need to keep the SQL binaries separate.

Hi Francis,
then I assume they are on seperate logical drives which are existing on the same physical array. In one of our production setup I saw this configuration. Just to clarify.
