Can access LOCALHOST with QA but not EM...why''s that?

  Hi,

  on my own pc I have XP Pro.

  I can access my LOCALHOST server using QA.

  I can also access LOCALHOST using Computer Management.

  However, I get a connection error when accessing LOCALHOST through EM.

  Any obvious reason for this?

  Any help welcome.

  In EM you can use either (local) or .

  to register Local default instance. Are you using one of these?

  I had the server registered as LOCALHOST, deleted and registered it again.

  . and ./ can also be used sometimes as well.
