I am trying to add a node to a SQL 2000 cluster and running into a strange problem. Last night my server admin added two new servers to the cluster. Now i have 4 nodes in the cluster and I need to configure these new nodes to host the SQL instances. I ran through the install for SQL and everything was fine until I get to the Cluster definition screen. All four nodes are listed in the Configured Nodes box. I was expecting the two new nodes to be in the Available Nodes box. When I click the 'Next' box it quickly gives me the successful message. But there are no SQL binaries installed on the new cluster nodes.
So I tried to remove those nodes back to the Available Nodes, but the wizard errors with a "The cluster node was not found" error.
I am at a loss as to why it thinks that the cluster is configured and will not let me unconfigure it.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Figured it out. I have to run the SQL install form the existing node not the new node.
