Transformation in 2008 replication

    Hi,

    We have a 2008 (R1) database which has some tables we would like to replicate to another database. One of the tables has a column containing values we would like to run a replace() against in flight.

    I understand this was possible in 2000/2005 using transformable subscriptions but this feature has now been removed.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    You are right, this feature is no longer supported. You can set up replication and could ALTER the insert/update replication procedures on the subscriber.

    This will add and administrative overhead to deployments, disaster recovery and reinitialisation.
