  I just had a task to make a new SQL installation - 2 Clusters both poiting to a SAN drive, SQL 2K Ent Edition, Win 200 Adv Svr. The data has to be located on a mapped network drive on a SAN. What is the down side of such installation and what problems I could encounter into install process or later?

  Should work fine. You get all the pros/cons of a SAN. If you've got the bucks for it nothing wrong with it!
