Hi all, hope your all well.
Is the question in the subject heading at all possible? Or will my colleague (based over the other side of the country) need to upgrade its SQL Server Client software to the 2000 version?
Thanks

The subject heading is truncated. So we don't know the questions exactly.

i beleive it's possible, but you should upgrade your tools in order to ensure you have the "latest" client
the sql 2000 tools only take a few monments to install and i know there are quite a few changes in enterprise manager that affect the way things are done.
bear in mind that sql was released in 1998(if i remember rightly) so you're 8 years behind on your tool set
just think windows 98. windows NT and then think 2003 server and windows xp to see how much difference there is.

Hi all, the missing part is 'through a SQL Server 7' database.
Thanks
