Hi, I have currently about 245GB of audio files stored on 3 storage servers. We are thinking of consolidation of these files on a single storage. Currently the retriving is done by the VFP program and it's quite slow, even opening the folder in Windows Explorer takes time. What if these files are stored in a SQL DB as BOL and the program pulls them from there? Do you think the process will speed up if SQL storage is used?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
MJ

If the files are used for streaming performance, I don't think SQL Server is a good choice compared to the file system.
