I have stopped and restarted both the SQL Service & The Agent Service.
Version is Standard.
Agent service shows as running, but is not in SSMS. What the...?

The only posibility then that I am aware of is that the account your loging in as isn't sysadmin or a member of the SQL Agent fixed roles.

Hi, I have the same problem as above and its def priv related as i tightened security on my db yest and no wmy sql server agent jobs dont complete running (they dont error either. Also when i create a new one i get 'sql server agent job not chached'.
Does anybody know what may be lacking matching/correct permissions - server, db, tables, agent?
Any advise will do as I know this is a small issue but im flummoxed (spelling) 🙂
