Omaha’s next SQL Saturday event, #397, is now live and scheduled for May 23rd, 2015, at Mammel Hall on the campus of the University of Nebraska – Omaha.
If you are not familiar with SQL Saturday events, it is a free all-day training event for anyone involved in the Microsoft data ecosystem. Speakers from around the world come in and present cutting-edge sessions on a number of topics related to SQL Server and professional development as a data technologist. These are the same speakers that author the books and blogs, create the training classes that we pay to attend, and speak at the conferences that we try to make it to, but local and free! An optional lunch fee of $10 is charged so we can provide you a great lunch during the day. We also have some great raffle items to give away at the end of the day, so make sure to plan for the entire day!
Speakers – submit today! We want to see submitted sessions on a full range of topics, from database administration to business intelligence and analytics to professional development. We also encourage local speakers from the region to submit. If you have never spoken at a SQL Saturday event but have always thought about it, give it a try! It’s a great way to get experience speaking in front of groups, and it’s a lot of fun. We want to have a mix of speakers, both regionally and nationally.
Prospective sponsors, for more information, our sponsorship details are available here. Sponsorship comes in three different levels, and the exposure that you get to some of the most enthusiastic and driven database professionals in the region is sure to improve your business.
I hope to see you all there, as this day is a fantastic opportunity to get ahead and grow as a professional in the SQL Server field. Register today to ensure you have a seat, as capacity is limited.
