how to find who disabled sql server jobs

  • Hello Friends,

We have critical jobs running on the Prod server but the jobs was disabled this Morning(I have see few times sql server restarted and Due to space issues backup failures) and its affected business and DBA team I want to Find out who disabled the job?

Does anyone know of a way to find this out.

As i understood SQL server doesn't store this metadata in any of the system tables.

I have checked on sysjobs, sysjobhistory and sysjobactivity but No luck.

Kindly let us know your views/comments on this.

    Thanks in advance!!

    Thanks & Regards,

  • If I've remembered it correctly, there's no direct way to do this in 2005 Editions.

My first suggestion is to leave a lightweight server-side Profiler Trace running, designed to just catch this type of event, in the hope of trapping it again once you have repaired the damage.

    Any use?
