Hi folks
I'm sure this has come up before and have tried a few scripts to resolve this but I still can't migrate my SQL users from a 2000 to 2008 server.
Scripts I've tried so far:

I have managed to migrate from 2000 to 2005 ok (script I use below) but when I try to migrate them from 2005 to 2008 the login doesn't work (using the code from the link above)

Output of first query (to create login on 2005 box):

I can connect to the 2005 server using the sql login and password but I can't connect when trying to do the same to connect to the 2008 server. Error message below:

Also, login for user is all lower case - I read in another article about there being issues of case sensitivity differences between 200 and 2005/2008 with sql logins

One more thing, I noticed that after I created the user on the 2008 instance and then script off the login as a CREATE statement it gives me the create loging script along with an alter login command against the account set to disable i.e. ALTER LOGIN [test] disable
I've tried enabling it and then logging in again but it still fails
