Hello there,
I have a problem.
On the sql server there are like 10 databases already existing, i created a login and assigned serveradmin role to the login. I am able to connect to the server but cannot access any of the databases. When i try to expand in the object explorer or in management studio it says " access denied".
I understand that the login is not mapped to any of the databases as a user but what i believe is when i assigned serveradmin role to the login it should be able to do anything on the server including accessing the databases.
What should i do to resolve this problem?

Which OS are you using? Which SQL Server edition/version

do you get the same error when connected using SA

it's a windows 2003 server enterprise OS and sql server 2005 enterprise edition.
I do not have access to connect with sa login.
