I can't find a definitive answer on the WEB or BOL... been searching for about an hour, now....
Does anyone know for sure if you can write to SQL Server 2005/2008 tables FROM the latest version of SQL Server Express? Maybe through a linked server or ??? A URL would really be helpful.:D
Thanks for the help, folks.

Ok... I think I found an answer that's good enough... the feature list at the following URL says that "Distributed Queries" are supported in SQL Server Express...
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143761(SQL.90).aspx
... and BOL says that "Linked Servers" are one way to do Distributed Queries.
Heh... I sure do hope that 2+2 is 4 in the Microsoft world.
To be sure, I'll download the app sometime this week and actually give it a try, but I needed a quick answer.
Thanks, folks.
