hi friends,
if i want to write stored procedure
sql> ed checkuser then i will get a note pad.
to do like that where and how can i go to that sql> prompt.
if any body knows plz help me.

There isn't a comment prompt in SQL Server. You can execute sqlcmd from the Windows command prompt and get data that you can send to a file or a program like notepad.
