We all know if we right click on a object in SSMS and scroll down to Reports -> Standard Reports there is a list of reports we can possible choose from! My question is could we also view the same reports in a Sharepoint Webpart? My background has been strictly SQL Server and have not done a thing until now in Sharepoint! :hehe:

I am guessing no one has any experience in doing this? Maybe I should look for a Sharepoint forum to post this to???

Yes you can, and it works great!

Well we are running SP 2007 with SQL Server 2005 backend! Currently there are no plans for SP 2010 yet, can I do this in SP 2007?

Yes, I've tested and no issues.
The designer is 2010, but the web part will work on SP 2007 as well.
Good Luck.

Well here is what I have found so far:
1. The RDL files for the SSMS canned reports are availiable here:
2. Published them to SSRS.
3. Use the URL from SSRS in a Sharepoint Webpart.
Well now I have to test all this out thoroughly before I can use.
