  Hi Experts,

  I am getting erro while configuring log shipping with monitor server.

  Msg 32055, Level 16, State 2, Procedure sp_add_log_shipping_primary_database, Line 252

  There was an error configuring the remote monitor server..

  I create the same log shipping configuration without monitor server and its wotrking fine

  Please help

  Hi,

  Might be this server is not in the same network.

  Try to ping to server and find if it is traceable.

  Thanks for the reply.

  I am able to ping the server without any issues...but still am getting the same error

  Now, kindly check the does remote connection is allowed for that server or not ( proposed Monitor Server).

  Check that you are mentioning correct server name / instance name with correct port number.

  Check if you have login permission on that server or not.

  Try domain account to connect , the domain account should be added to the admin group of the monitoring server.
