Updating bridge tables

  I have designed a bridge table to support multiple diagnosis dimension items on my patient fact table and now I am working through the ETL to update the bridge table. The fact table has a surrogate PK, so I am assuming after the insert task (into the fact table) occurs I will be able to add a task that will update the dimension bridge table, correct? Or is there a better way to do this?
